Over 30 years of experience in construction of many types and at many levels, has given Mike a well-rounded view of the industry. His previous roles in differing regions have given him a solid foundation for his current role at Pc2.

Mike has experienced many facets of the industry including serving as Superintendent, Project Engineer, Estimator, Project Manager, Treasurer and Director of Estimating. He has worked on various construction types including Bridges, Highways, Heavy Sewer and Water and large commercial projects.

Mike’s construction experience as well as leadership in the community have given him the tools to work with field and office personnel as well as Sureties, Attorneys, Designers and Owners to overcome the challenges that can occur in construction. Mike joined PC2 in 2010.

Mike was born in North Dakota, raised in Tennessee and has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee. Mike currently lives in Maryland with his wife, daughter and two Eagle Scout sons, where he remains active in the community, having served on the board of several local non-profit groups.

1986 Graduated with B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering. Was active member of ASCE, University of Tennessee Band and Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Earned 50% of college expenses working at various jobs including construction laborer and estimators assistant.

2010 – Present Consultant for Professional Construction Consulting, Inc., Blaine, TN. Providing services to Sureties related to P&P Bond Claims. Services include Estimating Cost to Complete, Schedule Analysis, Administering Completion Contracts and Subcontractor Ratification. Projects include a 48” Sewer line through the middle of Arlington National Cemetery ($15 mil)…require a year of Change Order negotiation and mediation., Water Line Replacement in SE Washington DC ($5mil), Bridge Replacement in Jacksonville, NC ($15 mil), Relet of Road Projects for Large Road contractor in northern MS. ($19 mil), Relet of 4 School Projects in Northern MS, Relet and Management of 2 US Army Corp of Engineer Project in Ft. Riley KS.
2008 – 2010 Project Manager / Director of Estimating, GRC General Contractor, Inc, Zullinger, PA. Originally hired as Project Manager completing several jobs including a new headquarters for the Washington Township Municipal Authority. During the first year, became a certified LEED AP.   After one year in this role was promoted to Director of Estimating. Responsibilities include estimating projects, managing 2 full-time estimators and 2 administrative support staff, selection of projects to be estimated.
1994 – 1997 Project Manager / Superintendent, Kfoury Construction Group, Reston, VA. Began as superintendent on 20,000 sf Law Office build-out. Promoted to Project Engineer in spring of 1995. Promoted to Assistant Project Manager in spring of 1996. Was awarded project of the year in 1995 and 1996 and voted by fellow employees the winner of the 1995 “Professional Development Award” for outstanding technical and professional development.
1990 – 1992 Project Manager, Caffey Construction Company, Biloxi, MS. Estimated and managed projects valued up to $500,000. Negotiated and designed projects up to $200,000. Responsible for hiring field personnel, buying materials, hiring subcontractors, and scheduling and managing projects. Worked directly with architects, owners, and government contract administrators from pre-bid conference to contract award and from submittals through project close-out.
1989 – 1990 Contractor Quality Control Representative, A.O. Ward Construction Company, Inc. Served as CQC Rep. for the $4,000,000 Squadron Operations Building at Keesler Air Force Base. Responsibilities included inspection and testing of all phases of construction, submittal review and approval, and coordination of field changes with Navy representatives, superintendents and subcontractors.   Served as liaison with the Naval Resident Officer in Charge of Construction.
1986 – 1989 Estimator/Project Manager, Johnson & Galyon, Knoxville, TN. Started career as Estimator. Beginning summer of 1987 worked as Assistant Project Manager. During summer of 1988, promoted to Project Manager.
