DAVID J. “Joe” MATTINGLY Owensboro, Kentucky Jmattingly@Pc2-inc.com
BACKGROUND: Joe Mattingly is a native of Kentucky. He joined Peters Contracting of Owensboro in 1977. Recently he formed his own construction management firm and specializes in CM for local projects in Owensboro, especially up-scale residential projects. Joe enjoys buying and selling land. The Mattingly family has lived in Owensboro all their lives and is very active in civil, church and school activities. Joe is an avid sportsman and enjoys hunting on one of his farms. EXPERIENCE: Joe spent four years as a cabinet maker, and then joined Peters Contracting as a field superintendent. Over the next twenty five years he rose to become Vice President/Chief Operating Officer. Peters Contracting is one of Kentucky’s largest general contractors. While with Peters Contracting, Joe managed projects ranging from industrial warehouses to banks, schools, government buildings, and water treatment facilities. He has managed projects up to $25 million. Much of his experience in heavy civil and water treatment work is of a self-performed nature. He is experienced in construction scheduling software and has achieved accreditation in OSHA and NUCA safety and health requirements. Joe joined Professional Construction Consulting, Inc. in 2003. QUALIFICATIONS: Joe has thirty five years experience in general contracting, twenty five with one company. He has performed every facet of managing construction from estimating and purchasing to COO. Joe has respectable construction credentials, is a natural born leader and has the ability to make people at ease and confident in the decisions they make together. He also has a unique ability to dig into a problem and see it through to resolution. Joe is a “finisher” who never stops short of getting the job done correctly.
