BACKGROUND: Marv
House, a native of EXPERIENCE: Marv’s
career has included every facet of construction including heavy civil,
bridges, highways, buildings, high rise, water treatment facilities,
industrial and institutional construction.
As a consultant to sureties he has taken a leadership role in
mitigating bond claims for similar types of construction with many of the
nation’s largest sureties. Marv has a
deep commitment to the construction and engineering industry. He has served
on numerous local, state, and national organizations lending his management
and leadership talent for the betterment of the industry. He has also served as associate professor
and guest lecturer in civil engineering education. Marv is a member of several national boards
of directors, and is trustee for the AGC’s Tennessee Workman’s Comp Trust. He has served on many dispute resolution
boards and is a Neutral for the American Arbitration Association. Marv is very active in Knoxville Habitat
for Humanity where he has served as President and Board Member. . QUALIFICATIONS: Marv’s
forty years as a general contractor and surety consultant has molded him into
a nationally respected construction professional. His business background has given him the
ability to take two different construction companies from privately held to
employee owned - both of which continue to grow successfully. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in
fourteen states, is the Qualifier for a General Contractor’s License in six
states, and is a member or officer in several technical associations. He
continues to enjoy great respect among architects, engineers, consultants and
owners. |
