SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND: Experienced in all phases of the construction industry
with nationally known construction firm.
Has
firsthand experience in self performance of excavation and site work,
concrete forming, placing and finishing, masonry and carpentry. Has
been in charge of multiple projects ranging in size from $1,000,000 to
$40,000,000 at various locations.
Facilitated
over 100 “partnering” sessions on projects for state, county, private, and
government owners with varying contract amounts. Recipient
of the national Marvin Black Award for partnering and also the national Build
America Award. Trustee
of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company and versed in ESOP
ownership. Active
with Associated General Contractors and past president and Hall of Fame
member of Ohio Contractors Association.
Past
management trustee of Ohio Laborers Retirement Fund with assets of over
$1,000,000,000. Past
Associate Professor of Construction Management, Bowling Green State

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:
ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Recently completed office as 63rd
President of the 604 member Ohio Contractor’s Association and has also served
as Treasurer for six years and member of the Finance Committee, Board of
Directors, and Executive Committee. In 1999, inducted into the Ohio
Contractor’s Association Hall of Fame. This honor represents years of
dedicated service in the construction industry. Instrumental in bringing
“partnering” relationships into Mosser Construction, fostering honesty and
integrity throughout the construction process involving the owners,
architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers. Awarded the
highest honor for partnering from the Associated General Contractors of
America when presented the “Marvin Black Excellence in Partnering Award” a
national award that recognizes the “best of the best” in developing
partnering relationships in construction. Also awarded the national award
recognizing excellence in construction for the renovation of the Valentine
Theatre, “2000 Build America Award,” sponsored by the Associated General
Contractors of America. These two highest awards had never been
received by any one company.
Taught at Bowling Green State
University from 1980 thru 1985 and served as President of the Fremont Country
Club 1978 and 1996. Served on the Advisory Committee at Owens Technical
College and Terra Community College and as a Management Trustee For the Ohio
Laborers Retirement Fund until retirement from Mosser Construction.
